Monsanto Company has completed the divestiture of its global sunflower assets to Syngenta.

Under the terms of the agreement, Syngenta purchased assets and assumed liabilities of Monsanto associated with its global hybrid sunflower seed business for US$160 million.

Additional terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
