Italian, Portuguese Pork Banned In Bulgaria
Bulgaria decided to impose a ban on Italian and Portuguese pork imports on Monday.
The move aims to prevent the spreading of pig diseases, which have already affected Italy and Portugal.
The two western countries were also prohibited from providing pigs, pig pelt and bristles, as well as byproducts. Such products can be imported to Bulgaria only after thermal or chemical processing that guarantees their disinfection.
