Vietnam agri export value goes up 20% on-year
According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Vietnam's export value reached US$12.2 billion for agro-forestry and marine products in the first eight months of 2010, up 20.1% against the previous year.
Specifically, the country received US$6.5 billion from staple food, up 16.6% and roughly US$3 billion from Vietnamese seafood, up 12.9%.
The main reason for the higher export value is that prices of almost export items have increased.
