Taiwan Great Wall To Seek 56,000 MT US Corn In Tender Tuesday
Taiwan's Great Wall Enterprise Co. will seek 56,000 metric tons of U.S. corn in a buy tender to be held at 0630 GMT Tuesday, said a company official.
Great Wall set the shipment date for the cargo between October 3-17 from the U.S. Gulf, the official said.
Aug. 3, Great Wall bought up to 60,000 tons of U.S. No. 2 corn from trading house Agrex at both $150.76 a ton and US 157.95 cents per bushel over the Chicago Board of Trade December contract. The shipment was set between Sept. 17 and Oct. 1 from the U.S. Gulf, or Oct. 2-16 from the Pacific Northwest.
