China sulphate additives prices stay stagnant

Cupric sulphate

With supplies in excess, prices remained unchanged during the period in review.

As of August 29, transaction prices of cupric sulphate moved stayed in the range of RMB13,600-13,950/tonne.

Demand is expected to increase in the coming period, lending support to cupric sulphate prices together with a stronger copper futures market.

Zinc sulphate

Zinc sulphate producers lifted prices slightly while export demands improved lately.

Even though the demand for zinc sulphate is likely to increase in the coming weeks, it will not be strong enough to push up prices prominently.

Manganese sulphate

Sales remained slow in the manganese sulphate market. Prices were mostly stable amid limited output.

Ex-factory price quotes for manganese sulphate stayed in the range of RMB3,450-3,850/tonne.

Producers are expected to continue to limit production while the market stays weak.

Ferrous sulphate

Prices stood stable although demand showed little improvement.

Meanwhile, traders concluded deals in the general market remained in the range of RMB750-1,000/tonne.

Prices of ferrous sulphate are poised to stay around current levels.
