Vietnam builds pig-raising models on biological cushions
With the scale of twelve pigs for piggery, the Thai Binh Agro-Fishery Encouragement Centre has built pig-raising models on biological cushions at four communes Tan Phong, Hong Ly (Vu Thu District), Thanh Tan (Kien Xuong District), Tay Tien (Tien Hai District) in 2012.
After three development months, these models have gained good outcomes with quickly- developing and growing pigs and guaranteed environment.
Nguyen Thi Chut, technical staff directly guiding the model in Vu Thu District said, "It is a new efficient model with clean and strong pigs, non- stinking pigsties and dry foundations. However, to ensure microorganism activities, it's necessary to ensure cushions' humidity not over dry and not over wet as well. After four months raising pigs, it's necessary to supplement 10 grams original ferment for one square metre on the foundation's cushion. The cushion is used for four-five years.
In the recent years, raising pigs in Thai Binh has strongly developed, resulting in increasing raising waste, affecting the environment.
