China Piglet Weekly: Piglet demand stays soft despite hog prices (week ended Aug 29, 2012)
Even though hog prices increased 5% over the past three weeks, hog producers were still hesitant about expanding inventories. As small farms which do not produce own piglets were still incurring losses, most of them chose to keep pig pens empty.
