China fishmeal imports up in July
China imported 124,436 tonnes of fishmeal in July, up 35 percent from June, and a 51 percent fall from the same period last year.
Imports in July came mostly from:
Peru: 78,437 tonnes;
Chile: 25,626 tonnes;
Thailand: 4,233 tonnes.
For the period from January to July 2006, China's fishmeal imports totalled 625,090 tonnes, down 36 percent on-year.
