China lysine exports lower in July
China's lysine exports in July totalled 12,142 tonnes, down 3,038 tonnes from June.
For the period from January to July 2006, China's lysine exports totalled 67,471 tonnes worth about US$60.61 million.
Lysine exports from China to European, North American and South-east Asian countries remained relatively significant in July.
In particular, shipments to Dutch ports totalled 2,875 tonnes, while exports to Belgium and Spain exceeded 500 tonnes each.
Lysine exports to the US were about 1,000 tonnes, while total shipments to South-east Asian countries continued to exceed 2,000 tonnes.
