ADM names new vice-president of transportation and logistics

Archer Daniels Midland Company (ADM) on Aug. 28 named Thomas Ames vice-president of transportation and logistics for the Grain Group.

Ames would oversee all transportation and logistical activities of the Grain Group, including barge, rail and truck, along with documentation for domestic and foreign shipment.

Ames joined the company in 1978 and has held various management positions in transportation and logistics for ADM. He most recently served as assistant vice-president of transportation with responsibility for grain transportation.
