Fall in China's methionine imports in July
China's methionine imports in July totalled 5,224 tonnes, down 1,801 tonnes from June.
For the period from January to July 2006, China's methionine imports totalled 45,720 tonnes worth about US$96.77 million.
Methionine imports from Japan totalled 1,024 tonnes in July, down significantly by 1,963 tonnes compared with June.
Combined import volume from Germany and Belgium totalled 2,600 tonnes, unchanged from the previous month.
Imports from France totalled 1,512 tonnes, up slightly from June.
