Meriden Animal Health launches Orego-Stim Smallholder

Meriden's Orego-Stim, used worldwide by large commercial poultry producers, is now available to small-scale farming operations and smallholders in the UK market.   Made from an exclusive hybrid species of oregano, Orego-Stim helps to naturally support the bird digestive system and increases performance by significantly improving gut function.   A secondary benefit of improved gut function is that the birds have drier, firmer droppings.

Added daily to the drinking water of poultry and domesticated fowl of all ages, Orego-Stim Smallholder increases the production of underperforming laying birds and helps to sustain high production rates of superior quality eggs with improved fertility, Meriden said.

It does this by increasing the turnover of cells in the gastrointestinal tract so that absorption of nutrients from the intestines improves, which in turn facilitates good egg production.

Meriden also claims the product improves growth and uniformity in chicks and pullets, and requires no withdrawal period because it does not taint the meat or eggs.

The product is now available in one-litre bottles with an integrated measuring system for ease of administration.
