China has banned the import of poultry products from the Amazonas State in Brazil, the Chinese Ministry of Agriculture announced Monday (Aug 28).
Poultry products imported from the Amazonas State after the outbreak of the Newcastle disease in a farm there on Jun 21 should be sent back or destroyed, said the ministry.
Poultry products imported illegally from Amazonas State should be destroyed under the supervision of quality and quarantine departments, the statement said.
