Pharmacosmos launches injectable iron product for pig industries in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania
 

Danish iron supplier, Pharmacosmos, is now able to distribute its injectable iron product, Unifier, to pig industries in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.

The product, Uniferon, will be marketed through Magnum Veterinarija, a veterinarian-focused partner based in Estonia with subsidiaries in Latvia and Lithuania.

Jens Fabricius, vice president, marketing & business operations at Pharmacosmos, commented: "Pig production in the Baltics is becoming increasingly focused on global best practice and hence also the generally accepted standard of administering iron to new-born piglets to promote optimal growth and general health as well as avoiding detrimental anaemia. Pig producers in the Baltics are thus becoming increasingly demanding and we are glad that we are now able to support their efforts."
