Vietnam rakes in US$91.5 million in Jan-July dry seafood exports
Vietnam exported 22,500 tonnes of dry seafood valued at US$91.5 million in the first seven months this year, up 26 percent in volume and 14.2 percent in value against the same period last year, estimated the Vietnam Seafood Exporters and Processors (VASEP).
South Korea was the leading importer of Vietnamese dry seafood, the association said without giving any more figures.
The others include other members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), China, Japan, Ukraine, the US and Russia.
Among the country's seafood exports, dry seafood is the only commodity that recorded posted growth rate in both volume and value.
In the first seven months of this year, Vietnam exported 632,000 tonnes of seafood, earning US$2.2 billion, according to the association.
