Meat producer, VION Food, has appointed Kenaad B. Tewarie as the company's chief financial officer, effective from September 1, 2013.

He will report to VION Food's CEO, Stefaan Vansteenkiste.

Tewarie has an extensive management experience in the fields of finance, tax, treasury, information and communications technology (ICT) and mergers and acquisitions (M&A) in food and non-food sectors. Currently the chief financial officer and chief information officer of Euretco, he is co-responsible for strategy and policy at Netherlands' largest retail-service organisation, and had successfully supervised the merger of Euretco and Intres.

Previously, Tewarie was the chief financial officer and member of the board of directors for Dutch supermarket corporation, Laurus, from 2001 to 2007. He also served in the board of directors for beef producer, Weyl.
