Russia to ban meat imports from four countries
Russia plans to impose a temporary ban on meat supplies from several companies in Brazil, the US, Poland and Argentina starting September 8, according to reports.
The ban is to apply to two companies in Brazil and one company in each of the US, Poland and Argentina, according to Rosselkhoznadzor, the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance.
The regulator plans to introduce the ban due to harmful substances being found in meat supplied by those companies.
