Floods ravage fish farms in Pakistan

Pakistani fish farmers have expressed concern over recent devastations of floodwaters and demanded the government grant loans on low mark-up.

Floodwaters wiped out hundreds of fish farms across the country including districts like Muzaffargarh, Mehmoodkot, Sanawan, Khangarh, Mehrpur, Shahgarh, Mondka, Shah Jamal, Roheaniawali, Shehr Sultan, Wasindaywali and others places.

A large number of people were associated with fish farming in the country, and farmers are concerned about destruction of their farms as many have high borrowings and are struggling to make payments.
