Russia lifts ban on poultry imports from some French, US companies

Russia's Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Oversight (Rosselkhoznadzor) has lifted its ban on poultry imports from some companies in France and the US, the regulator said Tuesday (Aug25).

The ban was introduced in February over concerns about the spread of bird flu.

Russia lifted the ban on imports of poultry, live birds, eggs, feathers, and bird feed from the French department of Vendee, the regulator said.

Russia also allowed US companies with numbers P-00003 and P-667 to supply their poultry products to Russia, the regulator added.
