China lysine imports fall almost 2,000 tonnes in July

 


China imported about 3,846 tonnes of lysine in July 2005, down by almost 2,000 tonnes from June.


From January to July 2005, China's accumulative lysine imports totalled 34,560 tonnes. In particular, July's lysine imports from Indonesia and South Korea at 1,241 tonnes and 1,106 tonnes respectively, have fallen somewhat compared with June's figures. Imports from Thailand have fallen to only 45 tonnes, while that of Brazil has fallen by about half to 525 tonnes, compared with the previous month. Meanwhile, lysine import volume from the US at 881 tonnes, was almost unchanged from June.
