US cash hogs bids flat-weak; buying interest slow
The Midwest direct hog markets Monday (August 24) are trading steady to weaker on limited buying interest. Some plants are said to be full or nearly so for the week while others are bidding for additional loads, mainly for the second half of the week.
Livestock dealers and market managers said packer inquiry has been light so far, an indicator that most plants have sufficient numbers of hogs on the books for the majority of the week.
