Vietnam's seafood exports up 5.95%
Vietnam made US$3.646 billion from seafood exports in the year to August 15, an increase of 5.95% on year.
In the first half of August, the country's revenues from seafood exports reached US$253.4 million, up from US$235.21million in the first half of July, the state agency said in a report.
The Southeast Asian country has spent US$423.64 million on imports of aquatic materials as of August 15, including US$28.66 million in the first half of this month, the General Department of Customs said.
Exports of seafood brought about US$6.23 billion to Vietnam last year. The country expects the exports to rise to US$6.5 billion this year.
