Cambodia destroys rancid chicken meat
Cambodian authorities have confiscated and destroyed 10 tonnes of rancid chicken meats.
Inspections revealed that the chickens were inedible. The chicken meat destined for sales in capital Phnom Penh had been burnt and buried by Pursat provincial police authorities on Friday (Aug 21).
The exporters of those chickens will be fined about US$2,268, said Patrol Department general director, Mork Pichrith, who had led the crackdown.
Pichrith warned those involved to stop this business and called for all Cambodians to carefully check their food before buying.
