Kyrgyzstan harvests over one million tonnes of grain
Kyrgyzstan has harvested over one million tonnes of grain, according to the press service of the Kyrgyz government.
Grain crops have been harvested at 66 percent of the planted areas which amounted to 348,000 hectares, as of August 19, said the Agriculture, Water and Processing Industry Ministry.
The crop yield averaged to 29.8 centners per hectare, up eight centners on-year. Wheat yield increased 7.1 centners on-year to 30.4 centners per hectare, and barley increased 10.2 centners to 28 centners per hectare.
