Vietnam's Aquatic Exports Valued At US$1.35 Billion
Vietnam grossed an aquatic export value of US$1.35 billion in the first eight months of this year, which is a 2.9 percent year-on-year decrease, according to the Fisheries Ministry.
Frozen shrimp was still the main export staple, with 76,000 tons shipped abroad in the past eight months. The export of frozen fish increased 22.2 percent to 118,000 tons.
However, the ministry said that the prices of Vietnam's shrimp in the US and Japan have decreased slightly.
