China's Guangdong hit by deadly pig disease

China's Guangdong province has been hit by the deadly pig disease that recently claimed over 30 human lives in the country, according to local authorities. Meanwhile, the government had earlier announced that the pig disease was brought under control in the country's south-west.

Four human cases were reported in Guangdong, including one dead and two hospitalised.

So far, no pig cases of the disease have been reported in the province and all four human infections occurred in separate areas, according to the official Xinhua news agency.

Local authorities took steps toward containing the disease and medical teams were sent to affected areas to investigate the cases.
