China maintains strong momentum in imports of feed ingredients

 

 

According to statistics from Customs General Administration, China's July imports of important feed ingredients remained strong.

 

China imported 174,000 tonnes of soybean oil and 426,100 tonnes of rapeseed in July. From January to July, imports of soybean oil to the country reached 640,100 tonnes, up by 10% on-year, while that of rapeseed totalled 3.12 million tonnes, surging 55% on-year.

 

The country also imported 468,800 tonnes of palm oil and 661,000 tonnes of DDGS in the same month, while imports from January to July amounted to 3.33 million tonnes and 3.91 million tonnes respectively. Though palm oil imports remained almost unchanged compared to the same period of last year, DDGS imports soared 187%.

 

Meanwhile, China exported 265,100 tonnes of soymeal in July. From January to July, total exports of soymeal from the country topped 1.63 million tonnes.
