ABB Grain ventures with French agri-industrial group

ABB Grain partners with French-owned agriculture group Soufflet to put up a joint venture in Ukraine.

Soufflet is the largest malting company in the world, specialising in malting, processing and milling, both barley and wheat.

ABB's managing director Michael Iwaniw says the partnership will enable the company to offer more products to its customers.

Iwaniw said Australian grain is harvested in November/December, whereas Ukranian grain is harvested in July which offsets risk and enables the company's exposure in terms of risks with grains.
