Navico to open US$31.2 million seafood processing factory

The Vietnam Seafood Export Joint Stock Company (Navico) announced it has invested 500 billion VND (US$31.2 million) to build a seafood processing factory in southern An Giang province.

The factory --situated on a ten-hectare area-- will be equipped with European and Japanese modern equipment with a production capacity to process 700 tonnes of fish daily, or 90,000 tonnes of products a year.

The factory -- Navico's third plant -- is nearly completed and is seen to employ 8,000 workers and engineers.
