Belarus' grain production exceeds seven million tonnes
As of August 20, Belarus' grain production stood at 7,011,600 tonnes.
Agricultural companies have collected 6,644,400 tonnes, with the average yield at 29.7 centners per hectare. Subsidiary plots produced 293,200 tonnes of grain (28.1 centners per hectare), farmers - 74,000 tonnes (29.1 centners per hectare).
Minsk Oblast tops the list with 1,670,500 tonnes of grain collected. Grodno Oblast demonstrates the highest yield of grain and leguminous crops - 40.5 centners per hectare.
So far 96.2% of the area under crops has been processed or 2,243,200 hectares. The progress in Gomel Oblast stands at 99.8%, Mogilev Oblast - 98.8%, Brest Oblast - 96.9%, Minsk Oblast - 95.5%, Grodno Oblast - 94.9%, Vitebsk Oblast - 93.5%.
The government has purchased 971,600 tonnes of grain, 98.1% of the targeted amount.
