TOPIGS appoints new general manager for Brazilian branch

TOPIGS, a genetics supplier for pigs, has appointed André Costa as general manager of TOPIGS do Brasil.
Coasta will replace Joster Macedo who has directed the Brazilian operation for two years. The former has 18 year of experiences in Brazil's pig industry, having held various positions in pig genetics which include being the geneticist for food company, Sadia, and JSR Genetics, and genetic supervisor for Aurora.
Costa joined TOPIGS in 2010 and was previously the company's geneticist and technical manager.
With a degree in animal science from UNESP, Botucatu, Brazil, a master degree in animal science from the Federal University of Vicosa, and a Master of Business Administration from the State University of Campinas, Costa has published 18 articles and papers on various subjects concerning swine production.
