US symposium to focus on high quality beef
Researchers would focus on ways to produce high quality and healthy beef in an international symposium to beheld from Oct 15-16 at Texas A&M University.
Leading international beef researchers would participate in the second Korea-US-Japan International Joint Symposium, which would also feature the economics of producing high quality beef and the latest research on Japanese Wagyu and Korean Hanwoo breeds.
The targeted audience are producers and companies that hoping to produce high-quality beef, said Dr. Stephen Smith, conference chairman and professor of animal science at Texas A&M.
The symposium would also focus on high-quality beef production for the US, Korean and Japanese markets. Smith noted that with the Asian market growing rapidly, US beef producers can now capture market share by producing beef tailored to Asian tastes.
