Excess supply keeps China vitamin C prices flat

Producers of vitamin C who were more eager to clear stocks than to maximise returns continued to keep prices at record-low levels in efforts to move sales.

As of August 16, offer prices for pharmaceutical-grade vitamin C stayed unchanged in the range of RMB24-25/kg.

The demand for vitamin C from the aquaculture sector should be stable in the remaining period of August.
