China's soy imports strengthen in H1
China's soy imports maintained rapid growth during the first seven months this year with an increase of 35.15% on-year.
Some 2.5 million tonnes of soy were imported through Dalian port, a major port in Northeast China.
Imports in July came to 646,000 tonnes, hitting a monthly record high.
The rapid growth is attributed to increasing demand in China, higher oil production rate and declining prices of soy from foreign countries.
