US pork exports surge 25 percent in first half 2005
From January to June 2005, US pork exports surged 25 percent year-on-year, according to reports. June's pork exports rose 18 percent year-on-year to register 205 million pounds.
So far this year, Japan, Mexico, and Canada were major importers of US pork, accounting for 41 percent, 19 percent and 11 percent of total pork exports respectively.
