South Korea Kocopia Seeks 52,500-55,000 MT Corn In Tender-Trade

The Korea Corn Processing Industry Association, or Kocopia, will seek 52,500-55,000 metric tons of optional-origin corn in a tender to be held at 0700 GMT Wednesday, said a Seoul-based trader who received the tender notice.

If the corn is of Chinese origin, Kocopia will buy 52,500 tons, the trader said.

Kocopia will buy 55,000 tons if the corn is of other origin, such as U.S. or South American, he added.

The cargo is to arrive on Jan. 10, 2005, he added.
