Stated-Owned Grains Companies in China's Jilin Province Suspend Corn Trade
An eFeedLink Exclusive Report
Stated-owned grains companies in China's northeastern Jilin province have reportedly suspended selling corn since August 13.
The action has been taken due to the loss of 4.36 million metric tons of corns at Jilin's stated-owned corn companies. The loss was found during stock checks carried out in April this year.
The impact of this incident on China's corn market has yet to emerge so far. Some market participants felt that the suspension of corn trade may affect market sentiments in the northeastern regions.
