Kazakhstan may export 12 million tonnes grains in 2012-13

Kazakhstan aims to export 12 million tonnes of grains in 2012-13 marketing year.

Eugene Aman, Executive Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan noted that due to the fact that the market has sufficient volumes of grains, the Government will not impose any limitations on grain exports.

According to the Agency of Statistics, as of July 1, 2012, the carry-over stocks of grains for 2012-13 marketing year (MY) totalled 9.8 million tonnes of grains. Taking into account the forecast of the general grain harvest, in the current year the general volumes of grains for distribution will total nearly 23.8 million tonnes.
