American Dairy, Inc., announced its net profits for this year's second quarter rose 95 percent year-on-year to US$2.8 million, from US$1.4 million during the same period in 2004.

Q2 revenues rose 57 percent year-on-year to US$15.1 million, from US$9.6 million in 2004.

Q2 gross profit rose 48 percent year-on-year to US$7.5 million from US$5.1 million the previous year.

Cumulative net profits in this year's first half rose 107 percent year-on-year to US$5.5 million from US$2.6 million in 2004.

Cumulative revenues increased 65 percent to US$29.3 million from January to June this year, compared with US$17.8 million during the same period the previous year.

The company reported that with an increase in sales quantities of products such as milk powder with nucleotides and rice powder, overall Q2 sales quantities rose 17 percent year-on-year to 4.0 million kilograms. This contributed to continued revenue growth.

In addition, the company said it strengthened its production capacity in the second quarter through acquiring assets from Royal Numico N.V., which allowed continued growth.
