Cobb Europe welcomes regional technical manager for Middle East

Cobb-Vantress has appointed Hosam Amro as Cobb Europe's regional technical manager for the Middle East.

Matthew Wilson, the regional technical services manager of Cobb Europe, welcomed Amro who will be based in Egypt as a key addition to the Cobb team serving the region.

"Amro has a rich background at all levels of poultry production and brings with him a (strong) reputation throughout the Middle East," Wilson said.  "His appointment further strengthens the Cobb Europe customer support and focus throughout the Middle East, showing our commitment to a growing market for broiler meat production."

Amro, who has close to 30 years' experience in the poultry industry, was previously Aviagen's veterinary technical manager in Egypt for about 15 years before joining Cobb from Boehringer Ingelheim. In addition, he had been involved in both diagnostic laboratory and large-scale poultry production works, in Egypt and Saudi Arabia, respectively.

Amro graduated from Cairo University's veterinary school in 1985.
