Russia approves import of pork from China

Head of Russia's veterinary and phytosanitary service (VPSS), Sergei Dankvert said that Russia has given approval for the import of pork from China, the Interfax news agency reported.

VPSS will publish a list of Chinese companies that are allowed to supply pork to Russia, Dankvert said.

Russia is currently facing a series of trade sanctions from the western countries over its involvement in Ukraine's political crisis.
