Kazakhstan's January-June grain export up 8.7 times on year

 

 

In January-June 2012, Kazakhstan exported 5.128 million tonnes of grain or about 8.7 times more than in the same period of 2011.

 

In monetary equivalent, grain export amounted to US$1.039 billion, which is six times more than in the same period of 2011, reported Novosti-Kazakhstan citing State Statistics Agency.

 

Kazakhstan is included into top six grain exporters of the world. In 2011, Kazakhstan collected record harvest of almost 27 million tonnes of grain. In the current year, considering bad drought, it is expected to collect 14 tonnes.
