Insecticides India's net profit up 29% as of June 30
A 29% increase in its net profit has been posted by Agro-chemicals maker Insecticides India Ltd (IIL) at INR11.72 crore (US$2.1 million) for the quarter ended June 30, 2012.
The company had clocked a net profit of INR9.07 crore (US$1.6 million) in the same period last year, IIL said in a filing to the BSE.
The company's net income rose to INR148.83 crore (US$27 million) in the first quarter of the 2012-13 fiscal compared to INR121.82 crore (US$22 million) in the corresponding period an year ago.
IIL produces a wide range of agro-chemical and pesticides. It has production units in Rajasthan and Jammu & Kashmir.
The company's shares closed up by 1.75% at INR401 (US$7.2) a piece from their previous close on BSE.
