Noble Group H1 revenue totals US$10.1 billion

Noble Group has announced that revenue for the six months ending Jun 30, 2007 totalled US$10.1 billion, up 64 percent from the same period in 2006.

The company's agriculture, energy and metals, as well as minerals and ores segments registered a combined 61 percent on-year increase in revenues for this year's first half, led by strong growth in tonnage volume which rose 47 percent. Gross profits for the commodity related businesses rose 24 percent in H1 compared with the same period last year.

Gross profits totalled US$333 million, a 68 percent increase compared with the first half of 2006, and represented the highest six-month gross profit level in the company's history.

Noble's net income for H1 2007 rose 66 percent to US$100 million from US$60 million in H1 2006.
