Buhler takes over IdraPrince
Press release
On Aug 10, 2006, Swiss technology group Buhler took over IdraPrince of Holland/Michigan (USA). With this move, Buhler is taking an important step in the expansion of its die casting division.
Through its consistent alignment with the market and through its innovative products, Buhler has built up a leading position worldwide in the die casting industry, which is currently characterised by consolidation moves.
At Buhler, this project is therefore a logical step in the implementation of the group's strategy. Hence, the takeover of IdraPrince will strengthen the group's position in the US and worldwide. The aim of the takeover is to amalgamate Buhler's die casting division in Minneapolis with IdraPrince in Holland/Michigan, which realises a turnover of US$37 million with a staff of 115, and to create a new company under the name of BuhlerPrince Inc.
Buhler is a global technology and systems partner for the food, chemical processing and die casting industries, specialising in machines, industrial equipment and process know-how. The Buhler Group employs some 6,200 people worldwide.
