Zydus Cadila acquires remaining stake in joint venture company

With Zydus Cadila acquiring the remaining 50 percent stake in the joint venture company Sarabhai Zydus, Sarabhai Zydus has become a 100 percent subsidiary of the India-based pharmaceutical giant, with a new identity, Zydus Animal Health Limited (Zydus AHL).

Zydus AHL inherits a broad range of well-established brands to emerge as a premier animal health company in India. The company has a strong presence in the anti-infective, analgesic, anti-parasitic, anti-mastitis, biological, tonic and nutritional segments, with several products taking a leading position in the domestic market.

Zydus Cadila is one of the fastest growing Indian pharmaceutical groups, well established in formulations, active pharmaceutical ingredients, biologicals and cosmeceuticals.

Zydus AHL derives research, development and technical support from its parent company, and has an alliance with Abic Biological Laboratories Teva Limited (a Teva group company) to market their poultry biologicals.
