Reduced availability, stronger demand underpin China methionine prices
Prices of methionine were stable to higher during the week ending August 11.
Methionine prices bottomed out last week and rebounded in some regions as supply tightened due to shipment delays.
Price quotes of imported dl-methionine stayed in the range of RMB35-37/kg.
As availability is limited due to import delays, methionine prices will likely strengthen further even though buyers will stay prudent.
