Brazilian state Bahia's soy production to rise 45% in 10 years
The soy production in the state of Bahia, in the Northeast of Brazil, will grow 45% until the 2022-23 season, according to a study from Brazil's Ministry of Agriculture.
Currently, the yield is 2.7 million tonnes in that state and would beat 3.9 million tonnes in 10 years. Mato Grosso is other state that soy production can grow significantly, where the yields will be 10% higher than the current ones.
Corn production in Mato Grosso can grow up to 30.8 million in the next 10 years - generating a growth of over 49%. The current production of the cereal is 17.4 million tonnes. Other states with important growth of corn will be Paraná (40%) in the South and Minas Gerais (38%).
