Higher Cattle, Lower Hog Prices Expected In US
US cash cattle trade has not developed yet this week. But feedlots remain hopeful of getting better money, while packers seem to have the upper hand in pricing hogs.
Cash cattle prices are called steady to $2 higher on ideas that support will come from strong wholesale demand as retailers gear up for Labor Day offerings.
Cash hogs are coming under a little pressure with the call for Wednesday at steady to $0.50 lower.
