AB Vista and Aunir make new appointments in response to Asia's demand

AB Vista and its sister company, Aunir, have restructured and expanded their teams to better serve customers across Asia, in response to strong feed enzyme sales growth and increased demand for Near-Infrared Reflectance (NIR) solutions.
The changes will see AB Vista's regional sales director, M.Y. Tan, move to Aunir, thus leveraging his years of experience in Asia's animal feed sector to expand the provision of the company's NIR spectroscopy solutions across the region.
Tan joined AB Vista in 2007, and has worked as regional sales director (Asia Pacific) for the past seven years.
AB Vista's current Asia Pacific activities have been divided into two separate regions - North Asia and Southeast Asia – following exceptional sales growth during recent years, and two new members have been appointed to support both current business activities and future expansion.
The new role of technical sales director (North Asia) will be filled by DrYingjun (Y.J.) Ru, who will be based in Singapore and will oversee AB Vista's commercial activities in Korea, Japan and the increasingly important market of China.
Dr Ru joins AB Vista from Danisco Animal Nutrition (DuPont), having previously worked as a research scientist in pig nutrition at the South Australia Research and Development Institute. He has several years of experience in the utilisation of feed enzymes and betaine in China and North Asia.
Dr Ru holds a PhD from the University of Adelaide.
AB Vista's business in the rest of the region will be looked after by Glenda Leong, who takes the role of business director of Southeast Asia.
Leong was previously, for three years, a business unit director in Asia for feed ingredients business, Provimi, a company under Cargill. She also occupied a sales management role with Adisseo, and has experiences as a company director outside the animal feed industry.
